Bruckner Tames the Eagle!!

Greg Bruckner joined Robert Thompson by winning the DSL Eagle Mountain Open and becoming only the second two-time winner of a UGGOA Championship. By edging Tour veteran Jim Ahern by a stroke with a 9-under 204 total, it also marks the second time Bruckner has won in Arizona on Tour.

Eagle Mountain Golf Club proved to be more than a match for the players this week. At only 6,757 yards from the tips, the putting greens and record temperatures, which topped 115 degrees at times, combined to make "the Mountain" one of the toughest tests to date on the UGGOA Tour.

When asked about is victory, Bruckner replied, "It is just so cool to have this tour available. For so many of these guys, there is nowhere to play, and no money to play for. Thanks Pat (Mogiovi, DSL CEO)

Ahern and Bruckner were neck and neck all day and it came down to a three foot par putt for Brucner on 18 to secure the victory. Like the consumate pro he is, he drained the putt and earned $6,200 for his efforts.

Also to be noted was Jeb Stuart who, after a 7-over par 78 during round 1, finished 64-66 for a five-under par total. This marks the largest turnaround from round one to round three in UGGOA History.
